Needle bearings consist of many small cylindrical rollers that are 3 to 10 times their diameter. Therefore, the ratio of the bearing outer diameter to the inscribed circle diameter is very small and they can withstand very large radial loads.
Needle bearings come in many different types and many of them do not have an inner ring. The cup type has an outer ring made of stamped steel, while the rest has a machine-machined outer ring. There are also designs with roller and cage combinations without inner/outer rings. Most of these bearings have a stamped steel cage but are also available in cage-free designs.
Bearings, needle bearings are also divided into types such as:
- By series: 1 row needle bearings, 2 row needle bearings, 3 row needle bearings.
- By circular motion: 1-way needle bearings, 2-way needle bearings (normal needle bearings).
- According to the structure we have: needle bearings with ball bearings and needleless bearings.
- Application: used for plastic injection machines, cutting machines in the packaging industry, or in the hot rolled steel industry, automobiles, forklifts, compressors, production lines, agricultural and construction equipment .
Needle bearings include the following types
- Type HK and BK .For example HK1010,HK1012,HK1412….
- Type NA, RNA, NK, NKS. For example, RNA4904,NA4900,NA4901,NK12/12,NK12/16….
- Combination Needle Bearing:
- NKIA form: Combination of needle and angular contact ball.
- NKIB type: Combination of needle and angular contact ball separately.
- NKX form: Combination of needle ball without inner shift and thrust ball.
- NKXR form: Combination of needle ball without inner shift and thrust ball.
